Do you know the muffin man?

So it's sunday morning and we are running dangeously low on supplies like milk eggs and butter, so low it was difficult to come up with something we could eat beyond the normal. Sarah loves muffins so I decided to venture into her muffin cookbook. Normally we can't cook out of it because appearently you can only cook good muffins with bran, and come on... Really? What normal person keeps bran on hand?
Well good news for sarah I got some a while back last time a situation like this showed up and we actually had some!

I settled on upside down pecan sticky mufins and I'd say they came out good. To make them even healthier than just adding bran, I made them with whole wheat flour too. What can I say, I'm a sucker for whole grains. It's about the only time I get nurtrition so might as well make it count.

Then on top of this any of you arizonans know it's going to be close to 110 today so instead of heating the house up with the oven, we grilled them instead. My goal this summer is to pretty much be able to cook everything and anything outside in one way or another. I will keep you posted on how that comes out.

See attached pictures of the mufins grilling the waiting family and the results...

You have to modify the grill a little bit to make it work but that's another post.

Muffins look great! Great idea to cook outside. We had friends who used to do that in Ohio many years ago!
